Allen David Mukeba Jr. and Rayquawndis Mitchell chipped in for the Kansas City offense as well with 13 points apiece. The Kansas City reserves struggled in the game totaling only nine points.

The LSU Tigers open their season Wednesday night at home looking to improve on a 22-12 record from a season ago after their season ended in the first round of the NCAA tournament against Iowa State. Offensively LSU had one of their worst games of the season making only 37% of their shots and 21.1% from beyond the arc, while turning the ball over 19 times leading to the five point loss.

Darius Days led the way for the LSU offense with 14 points and 12 rebounds on four of nine shooting in 37 minutes of action as the only starter in double figures. Tari Eason chipped in a team high 18 points on nine shots in 19 minutes off the bench, while no other reserves scored in the game for LSU.
