The Iowa Hawkeyes will go back on the road Thursday night for a visit to the Kohl Center in Madison, WI to take on the Wisconsin Badgers. Iowa has played well this season with eleven wins through their first 14 games played riding a four game win streak following a five point win against Maryland.

The Iowa offense was the difference against Maryland as the Hawkeyes made 30 of 61 shots and eight long balls leading to 80 points and the victory. Keegan Murray had his best game of his collegiate career with 35 points and eight rebounds on 14 of 21 shooting in 38 minutes on the floor. Filip Rebraca was the only other Badger in double figures with 13 points and Joe Toussaint chipped in nine points and nine assists leading to the win.

The Wisconsin Badgers are running hot as of late ranked number 23 in the nation with an 11-2 overall record riding a three game win streak following a five point win against the number 3 ranked Purdue Boilermakers. Despite giving up 69 points the Wisconsin defense was the difference against Purdue as the Badgers held the Boilermakers to 41.1% shooting and forced 12 turnovers in the game leading to the victory.

Johnny Davis was the difference for Wisconsin against Purdue with 37 points and 14 rebounds in 38 minutes on the floor. Brad Davison added 15 points on five of 11 shooting as the only other Wisconsin starter to break double figures.

Iowa has the better offense in this matchup but the Badgers defense and home crowd will be the difference. Look for Wisconsin to slow down the Badgers and grind out the full 40 minutes on Thursday night. The Badgers are deeper and bigger and will use those strengths to pick up the conference win on Thursday. Final Score Prediction, Wisconsin wins and covers 71-65.
