Illinois State is going to take to the road to face Drake in what is sure to be a battle between a couple of great teams. The difference is the Bulldogs have been playing better in non-conference play than what the Redbirds have and that is definitely going to show up big in the game as these two teams are almost equally balanced when they are playing in the conference, but what else will help out the Redbirds is they had a little bit stiff competition compared to the Bulldogs in the non-conference schedule.
The Redbirds on the year have been able to rely on Milik Yarbrough who has ended up getting 17 points a game in only 29.8 minutes a game. The assist leader for the Redbirds has been Yarbrough as well with 3.6 assist a game, but he is a guard and oddly leads the team in rebounds as well at 7.6 a game.
Drake on the year has been able to rely on Nick McGlynn for the scoring with 16 points a game in 28.8 minutes played. The assist leader for the Bulldogs has been D.J. Wilkins who has managed to get 3 assist a game. The rebounding leader for the Bulldogs is McGlynn as well with 8.1 boards a game.
