Houston at Memphis 3/6/22 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

The Sunday college basketball schedule will tip-off with a battle between the Houston Cougars and the Memphis Tigers from the FedEx Forum. The 14th ranked Cougars (26-4) have wrapped up the American Athletic Conference regular season title and are allowing a stingy 58.4 points per game. On Thursday, Houston held Temple to 31 percent shooting en route to an easy 84-46 home victory.

Houston F Fabian White Jr. poured in a game-high 26 points on 11-for-16 shooting and pulled down six boards. Taze Moore chipped in 19 points and four assists for the Cougars.

The Memphis Tigers have won 12 of their 17 conference games and are scoring 76.1 points per contest. On Thursday, Memphis built an eight-point halftime lead and never trailed during the second half of a 73-64 road victory against South Florida. The Tigers (18-9) converted 22-for-32 from the free-throw line and assisted on 16 of their 24 made field goals.

Memphis C Jalen Duran led all scorers with 16 points on 7-for-13 from the field and grabbed ten rebounds. Alex Lomas added 12 points, four rebounds, and four assists for the Tigers.

Houston ranks second nationally in defensive efficiency and Memphis ranks 39th in that category, so the under is worth a look. The Tigers won the first matchup by ten points and I like their chances to do it again. Final Score Prediction, Memphis Tigers win 71-66.
