On Saturday, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets visit Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina to play the No. 2 ranked Duke Blue Devils. Georgia Tech improved to 11-8 on the season following its 63-61 win over Notre Dame on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets were led by Adboulaye Gueye who had a key putback with just less than a minute remaining that was the difference.
Duke improved to 16-2 and bounced back from its second loss of the season with a 79-64 win over Pittsburgh. The Blue Devils were led Zion Williamson with 25 points as the freshman hit his first 10 field goals attempts in Duke’s 15-point victory over the Panthers.
Jose Alvarado leads Georgia Tech in scoring and assists with averages of 13.8 points and 3.2 assists per game. James Banks III leads in rebounding with an average of 7.8 per game and is the second leading scorer with an average of 11.2 points per game. Georgia Tech is shooting 46.2% from the field and 30.9% from 3-point territory.
RJ Barrett leads Duke in scoring and is second in assists with averages of 23.9 points and 4.0 assists per game. Zion Williamson is the second leading scorer and leading rebounder with averages of 21.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. Tre Jones leads the Blue Devils in assists with an average of 5.7 per game. Duke is shooting 48.5% from the field and 31.2% from 3-point territory.
