The Georgia State Panthers visit Bramiage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas on Saturday to face the No. 25 ranked Kansas State Wildcats. The Panthers are 7-3 on the season following a 95-88 won over Chattanooga on Wednesday night. D’Marcus Simonds led the Panthers with 24 points, while Devin Mitchell and Kane Williams each scored 17 in the high-scoring game.
Kansas State lost its second straight game to fall to 6-2 on the season after falling to Tulsa 47-46 on Saturday. The Wildcats had a chance with just seconds remaining to win but a floater by Barry Brown Jr. rimmed out and several tip-in attempts missed. Xavier Sneed led the Wildcats in the loss with 13 points and 10 boards.
D’Marcus Simonds leads Georgia State in scoring with an average of 22.0 points per game. The leading rebounder for the Panthers is Malik Benlevi with an average of 5.9 per game. Kane Williams leads the Panthers in assists with an average of 3.4 per game. Georgia State is shooting 45.4% from the field and 37.6% from 3-point territory.
