Georgia Southern comes into Thursday three games above .500 on the year following a six point victory against Georgia State. Defensively Georgia Southern was dominant allowing only 52 points on 35.1% shooting and the Eagles forced 16 turnovers in the victory. Offensively Georgia Southern did just enough making 39.7% of their shots but knocked down four long walls and eight free throws to get the victory.

Jalen Finch averages 10.6 points as the only other player in double figures to go along with a team leading 3.5 assists and Kaden Archie is scoring 9.8 points per game as well. Carlos Curry averages 7.4 points per game to go along with a team leading 7 rebounds as well.
The Texas State Bobcats continue a homestand Thursday night one game below .500 on a 3 game skid following a nine point loss to Louisiana. Defensively Texas State struggled as Louisiana scored sixty points including 33 in the second half on nearly 43% shooting from the floor. Offensively Texas State was terrible scoring only 51 points on 38.6% shooting and 20% from beyond the arc.
Mason Harrell is the offensive leader for Texas State this season averaging 16.2 points per game on 41.4% shooting from the floor. Tyrel Morgan is averaging 8.5 points per game to go along with a team leading 6 rebounds and Nate Martin ships in 7.9 points per game as well.
