Georgetown at Marquette 2/16/22 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

The Georgetown Hoyas will continue a conference road trip Wednesday night as they visit Milwaukee Wisconsin to take on the Marquette Golden Eagles. Georgetown has struggled all season coming into Wednesday 6-18 overall and winless in conference riding a 14 game losing streak following eleven point loss to Creighton. Defensively the Hoyas struggled as Creighton shot 53.8% from the floor 41.4% from beyond the yards were 88 points in 40 minutes.

Georgetown was abysmal against Creighton shooting only 37.3% from the floor and 15.8% from beyond the arc leading to the loss. Aminu Mohammed led the way for Georgetown 27 points and 10 rebounds on 8 of 15 shooting in 34 minutes on the floor. Dante Harris added second with 23 points in 37 minutes of action.

The Marquette Golden Eagles return home Wednesday losers of three of the last four games played including two in a row following a six point loss to Butler. Offensively Marquette shot the ball well converting on 44.8% of their shots but turned the ball over eight times leading to the loss. Justin Lewis led all scorers from Marquette with 27 points on 10 of 17 shooting.

For the season Marquette has two players averaging double figures led by Justin Lewis posting a team high 17 points per game with 45.4% shooting to go along with eight rebounds per game. Darryl Morsell chips in a second best 13.1 points per game and Tyler Kolek scores 7.4 points to go along with a team leading 5.8 assists.
