Two top 10 teams face off on Saturday when the No. 9 ranked Florida State Seminoles visit John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia to play the No. 4 ranked Virginia Cavaliers. The Seminoles improved to 12-1 after defeating Winthrop 87-76 as Terance Mann led FSU with 22 points while Phil Cofer chipped in with 14. The win was FSU’s seventh straight.
Virginia kept its perfect record intact with a 100-64 rout of Marshall to move to 12-0 on the season. The Cavaliers were led by Kyle Guy with 30 points. Guy sank seven shots from 3-point territory. The win was No. 300 for coach Tony Bennett for his collegiate career.
Terance Mann is the leading scorer and leading rebounder for Florida State with averages of 13.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Trent Forrest leads the Seminoles in assists with an average of 3.6 per game and is the third leading scorer with an average of 10.7 points per game.
