The Fresno State Bulldogs are set to visit Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon in the season opener as they will face the Oregon Ducks. The Fresno State Bulldogs will be looking to expand on their 2018-2019 success as they went 23-9 with a 3rd place finish in the Mountain West Conference. The Fresno State Bulldogs will have to replace their 2 leading scorers from last season which is a big blow considering Braxton Huggins averaged 18.5 PPG and Deshon Taylor pitched in 17.9 PPG. The Bulldogs are expecting another big season out of senior forward Nate Grimes as he averaged 11.8 PPG and 9.2 RPG last season.

The Fresno State Bulldogs were solid at scoring the basketball during the 2018-2019 season as they scored an average of 76.5 PPG which ranked 76th in the country. The Bulldogs were also solid at keeping opponents off the scoreboard last season as they held their opponents to an average of 67.5 PPG which ranked 68th in the country.

The Oregon Ducks will be looking to continue their success from the 2018-2019 season as they went 25-13 with an appearance in the Sweet 16. The Oregon Ducks will return one of their top scorers from last season as senior guard Payton Pritchard averaged 12.9 PPG and 4.6 APG. The Oregon Ducks received a handful of grad transfers who will play a pivotal role this season, but the most important is New Mexico transfer Anthony Mathis as he averaged 14.4 PPG last year.

The Oregon Ducks struggled at scoring the basketball during the 2018-2019 season as they scored an average of 70 PPG which ranked 251st in the country. The Oregon Ducks were one of the best teams in college basketball at keeping their opponents off the scoreboard as they held them to an average of 62.2 PPG which ranked 12th in the country.
