Florida at Georgia 3/4/20 - NCAA Basketball Picks & Predictions

The Florida Gators are set to visit Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Georgia for an SEC clash against the Georgia Bulldogs. The Florida Gators come into this matchup with an 18-11 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent road game against the Tennessee Volunteers, 63-58. Leading the way for the Florida Gators was senior forward Kerry Blackshear Jr. as he recorded 20 points and 9 rebounds. Sophomore guard Noah Locke had a productive outing for the Gators as he pitched in 15 points.

The Florida Gators had a good shooting game against the Tennessee Volunteers as they connected on 22 of their 47 field goal attempts (46.8%), but they were slightly worse from behind the three-point line (37.5%). The Florida Gatos lost the turnover battle against the Tennessee Volunteers (14-9), but they edged out the Volunteers in the rebounding department (31-24).

The Georgia Bulldogs come into this matchup with a 15-14 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the Arkansas Razorbacks, 99-89. Leading the way for the Georgia Bulldogs was freshman guard Anthony Edwards as he recorded 26 points and 7 rebounds. Junior forward Rayshaun Hammonds had a productive outing for the Bulldogs as he pitched in 22 points and 9 rebounds.

The Georgia Bulldogs had a good shooting game against the Arkansas Razorbacks as they connected on 38 of their 67 field goal attempts (56.7%), and they were good from behind the three-point line (43.5%). The Georgia Bulldogs lost the turnover battle against the Arkansas Razorbacks (10-6), but they edged out the Razorbacks in the rebounding department (40-29).

The Georgia Bulldogs are in the midst of rebuilding a program that has led to unfavorable results this season as they are 5-11 in SEC play, and they have already lost to their rival (Florida) once this season. The Florida Gators are not only trying to climb as high as 2nd place in the SEC, but they are trying to improve their spot in the NCAA Tournament which makes this game that much more important. The Gators are one of the top defensive teams in the conference as they are holding their opponents to an average of 68.7 PPG, but the same can’t be said about the Georgia Bulldogs as they rank 13th in points allowed. Florida has shown a good amount of scoring depth this season as 4 different guys are averaging over 11 PPG, but the biggest difference in this game will be the frontcourt as Keyontae Johnson is leading the way with 14.1 PPG and 7.8 RPG while Kerry Blackshear Jr. is pitching in 13.1 PPG and 7.2 RPG. Final Score Prediction, Florida Gators win and cover ATS 76-70.
