FIU at Western Kentucky 3/1/21 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

The Monday college basketball schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Florida International Panthers and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The Panthers (9-15) are looking to snap a five-game losing streak and are allowing 76 points on average. Last time out, Florida International allowed Southern Mississippi to shoot 61 percent from the field during an 85-72 home loss. 

Tevin Brewer and Isaiah Banks scored 15 points apiece to lead Florida International on a combined 10-for-18 from the field. Dimon Carrigan added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Panthers.

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have won eight of their ten Conference USA games and are scoring 74.1 points per contest. On Thursday, Western Kentucky was outscored by 23 points during the second half of an 81-57 road loss against 12th ranked Houston. The Hilltoppers (15-5) missed 13 of their 17 three-point attempts and turned the ball over 20 times.

Western Kentucky G Taveion Hollingsworth converted all seven of his free-throw attempts and finished with a team-high 17 points. Charles Bassey added nine points and seven rebounds for the Hilltoppers.
