The Fairfield Stags visit XFINITY Center in College Park, Maryland on Tuesday to play the No. 7 ranked Maryland Terrapins. The Stags fell to 1-3 on the season following an 84-75 overtime loss to Loyola (Md.) on Sunday. Landon Taliaferro and Jesus Cruz led the Stags in the loss with 17 points each, while Vincent Eze added 15.

Jesus Cruz leads the Stags in scoring with an average of 19.5 points per game. Taj Benning is third in scoring and the team leader in rebounding and assists with averages of 11.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Landon Taliaferro is second in scoring for Fairfield with an average of 14.3 points per game.

Maryland is 3-0 following its 80-50 rout of Oakland on Saturday. The Terrapins were led in the lopsided contest by Darryl Morsell with 14 points, while Anthony Cowan Jr. scored 11 points, handed out seven assists and pulled down six rebounds. Aaron Wiggins added 10 points and Jalen Smith scored eight points and grabbed seven boards.

Jalen Smith leads the Terrapins in scoring and rebounding with averages of 14.5 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. Anthony Cowan Jr. is the second leading scorer and leader in assists for Maryland with average of 12.3 points and 5.7 assists per game. Five players for the Terrapins are averaging double figures in scoring.

Fairfield has little chance of upsetting the Terrapins as Maryland is much more talented and has more speed, quickness and athleticism, but the Stags will keep it close enough to cover the number. Fairfield has covered the number in 6 of its last 7 non-conference games while Maryland has failed to cover 10 of its last 13 versus an opponent with a winning percentage below .400. Final Score Prediction, Maryland Terrapins win but fall short ATS 78-66.
