The Evansville Purple Aces are set to visit Baha Mar Convention Center in Nassau, Bahamas for a non-conference clash against the East Carolina Pirates. The Evansville Purple Aces come into this matchup with a 3-1 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent home game against the SMU Mustangs, 59-57. Leading the way for the Evansville Purple Aces was sophomore forward Deandre Williams as he recorded 13 points and 8 rebounds. Junior guard Artur Labinowicz had a productive outing off the bench for the Purple Aces as he pitched in 12 points.

The Evansville Purple Aces struggled shooting the ball against the SMU Mustangs as they connected on 17 of their 48 field goal attempts (35.4%), and they were slightly worse from behind the three-point line (28%). The Evansville Purple Aces won the turnover battle against the SMU Mustangs (18-11), but they were dominated by the Mustangs in the rebounding department (47-25).

The East Carolina Pirates come into this matchup with a 1-3 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent home game against the Liberty Flames, 77-57. Leading the way for the East Carolina Pirates was sophomore forward Jayden Gardner as he recorded 26 points and 11 rebounds. Joining Gardner in the frontcourt was freshman forward Brandon Suggs who had a productive outing for the Pirates with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.

The East Carolina Pirates struggled shooting the ball against the Liberty Flames as they connected on 20 of their 52 field goal attempts (38.5%), and they were slightly worse from behind the three-point line (33.3%). The East Carolina Pirates were even with the Liberty Flames in the turnover battle (10-10), but they were edged out by the Flames in the rebounding department (39-32).

The Evansville Purple Aces have been overvalued ever since upsetting the Kentucky Wildcats, and I still have not seen enough to back them with a fairly big number. East Carolina has struggled this season hence their 1-3 record, but they still have the best player on the court in Jayden Gardner as he is averaging just shy of a double-double with 20 PPG and 9.3 RPG. Evansville will try to cancel Gardner out with their big man Deandre Williams, but he is the lone forward who sees valuable minutes for the Purple Aces and foul trouble could come into play. Evansville is feeling confident with a 3-1 record, but I still like East Carolina to keep this game within a few possessions. Final Score Prediction, Evansville Purple Aces win but fail to cover ATS 72-69.
