Last Updated: 11/24/2020 at 8:31 AM ET

The Eastern Washington Eagles visit Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon on Wednessday to play the No. 20 ranked Oregon Ducks in the opening game of the regular season for both. Eastern Washington was 23-8 overall and 16-4 in the Big Sky Conference winning its first conference title since 2015. Two of Eastern Washington's top three players from last season return. Kim Aiken Jr., a junior forward averaged 13.4 points per game last season while Jacob Davison had scoring average of 18.4 points per game. Also returning from last season are guards Ellis Magnuson and Jack Perry.

Davison was the leading scorer last year for Eastern Washington at 18.4 points per game. The senior guard is not an excellent shooter from 3-point territory but is dangerous from anywhere within the arc. Aiken Jr. led the Eagles in rebounding with an average of 9.7 per game and was third in scoring with an average of 13.3 points per game. Tanner Groves is expected to play a big role for the Eagles as the replacement for Mason Peatling, who last season averaged 17.2 points per game but graduated.

Last season Oregon finished 24-7 overall and 13-5 in the Pac-12. It was the 10th consecutive season that Oregon has won 20 or more games. Payton Pritchard is no longer with Oregon but two starters from last season return along with several players that came off the bench. Oregon will also have a number of experience transfer players. Chris Duarte is the leading scorer returning from last season. The senior guard averaged 12.9 points per game and will be joined by Will Richardson in the back court, who averaged 11.0 points per game last season. Also returning for Oregon are N’Faly Dante, Addison Patterson, Chandler Lawson and Lok Wur.

The new faces for Oregon this senior will be transfers LG Figueroa from St Johns, Amari Hardy from UNLV, Eugene Omoruyi from Rutgers and Eric Williams from Duquesne. The top freshman joining Oregon is guard Jalen Terry, who is a four-star recruit but will see most of his time coming off the bench. The additions of Figueroa and Hardy are big fur Oregon. Hardy scored an average of 14.5 points per game last season. Omoruyi played three seasons with Rutgers and scored an average of 13.8 points per game and pulled down an average of 7.2 rebounds per game.

Oregon has two of it's top three scorers returning from last season. The Ducks also I have three talented transfers on the roster this season and are expected to help Oregon to battle for the North Division title in the Pac-12. The Ducks have covered the number in each of the last five played at home and are 6-1 straight up in their last seven overall. Eastern Washington has a talented roster but does not have the talent or depth to keep pace with Ducks on Tuesday. Final Score Prediction, Oregon Ducks win and cover ATS 85-61.
