The Saint Louis Billikens will play the Davidson Wildcats in the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament on Saturday at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. Saint Louis reached the semifinals with a 57-56 victory over St. Bonaventure on Friday. Francis Okoro was the leading scorer for the Billikens with 14 points and also grabbed a team-leading 12 rebounds. The victory was the fourth straight for the Billikens.
Gibson Jimerson is the leading scorer for Saint Louis with an average of 16.3 points per game, while Yuri Collins is the second-leading scorer and the leader in assists with averages of 11.1 points and 7.8 assists per game. Francis Okoro is the leading rebounder with an average of 8.0 rebounds per game. Saint Louis has three players averaging double-figures in scoring and as a team in scoring an average of 77.3 points per game.
Davidson reached the championship game of the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament with a 74-56 victory over the Fordham Rams on Friday. Davidson jumped out to a 16-point halftime lead and was never threatened after the break. Sam Mennenga scored 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds and handed out five assists for the top seed Wildcats.
Foster Loyer is the leading scorer and leader in assists for Davidson with averages of 16.8 points and 3.4 assists per game. Luka Brajkovic is the leading rebounder with an average of 7.2 rebounds per game. Hyunjung Lee is the second leading scorer with an average of 16.5 points per game and one of four players for Davidson averaging double figures in scoring. As a team, the Wildcats are scoring an average of 75.8 points per game.
