The Davidson Wildcats stay in the Bahamas Thursday with a match up against the Providence Friars in Imperial Arena. Davidson comes into Thursday with four wins and one loss on the year following a blowout loss to Arizona Wednesday night. Offensively Davidson has been top tier this season averaging 87 points on 50.8% from the floor. Offensively Davidson struggled against Arizona scoring 71 points on 38% shooting in 32.4% from beyond the arc. The Wildcats also lost the rebounding battle by 16 and turned the ball over 12 times in the game. Connor Kochera led the way for the Davidson offense with 20 points on 18 shots in 29 minutes. Bobby Durkin was the second Davidson starter in double digits with 15 points on 14 shots. The other 3 Davidson starters combined to score 22 points on 20 shots in the game.

The Providence Friars come into Thursday with five wins and one loss on the year following their defeat Wednesday night. Offensively Providence has been mediocre this season averaging 70.4 points per game on 44.9% from the floor. Defensively the Friars have been top tier holding opponents under 54 points per game through the first six games of the season.

Offensively Providence was mediocre in their last outing scoring 77 points on 42.9% from the floor. The Friars knocked down 12 long balls and 17 free throws in the game. Providence did win the rebounding battle by 13 but turned the ball over 16 times in the loss. Wesley Cardet Jr. led the way for the Providence offense as one of four starters in double figures with 17 points on nine shots in 29 minutes. Jayden Pierre and Bensley Joseph both chipped in heavily with 16 points each. Corey Floyd Jr. was the 4th starter in double digits with 13 points on seven shots in 34 minutes.

Both teams come into Thursday following the loss as each will look to bounce back in a big way. Look for Providence to lean heavily on their defense and talent to stifle Davidson.
