The Davidson Wildcats visit Hagan Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday to play the St. Joseph’s Hawks. The Wildcats improved to 12-4 on the season and 3-0 in Atlantic 10 Conference action with a 64-57 win over VCU. Kellan Grady led the Wildcats with 21 points while Luka Brajkovic scored 14 helping Davidson rally to the win.
St. Joseph’s fell to 7-9 on the season following its 85-84 loss to Duquesne. The Hawks led by as many as 15 points but could not hold the lead. The Hawks led to open the game 22-7 but a 17-2 run by Duquesne wiped out the lead and left the Hawks trailing by one point at the half. Charlie Brown led the Hawks in the loss with 28 points.
Kellan Grady is the leading scorer for Davidson averaging 19.2 points per game. Jon Axel Gudmundsson is the second leading scorer, second leading rebounder and leader in assists with averages of 16.3 points. 6.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. Davidson is shooting 44.6% from the field and 32.6% from 3-point territory.
Charlie Brown leads St. Joe’s in scoring with an average of 20.1 points per game. Jared Byrum leads the Hawks in assists with an average of 3.8 per game. Taylor Funk leads the Hawks in rebounds with an average of 5.8 per game. St. Joe’s is shooting 41.5% from the field and 33.0% from 3-point territory.
