The 15th seeded Cal State Fullerton Titans (20-11) winners of the Big West Conference tournament will play the 2nd seeded Purdue Boilermakers (28-6) on Friday March 16 in the first round of the East Regional. Fullerton defeated UC Irvine on Saturday night 71-55 in the Big West final. Kyle Allman led the Titans with 26 points while Khalil Ahmad chipped in with 23. The Titans have now won three straight games headed into the tournament.

Purdue finished second in the Big Ten during the regular season and lost in the conference’s tournament final to Michigan 75-66 on Saturday. Isaac Haas led the Boilermakers in a losing cause with 23 points while the team’s top two scorers Carsen Edwards and Vincent Edwards combined for just 16 points. Kyle Allman leads CS Fullerton in scoring with an average of 19.4 points per game. The leading rebounder is Jackson Rowe averaging 6.8 per game, while the leader in assists is Austen Awosika with an average of 2.7 per game. As a team, the Titans are shooting 47% from the field and 33.8% from 3-point territory. During the regular season, UC Fullerton scored an average of 73.2 points per game, while allowing an average of 70.0.

Carsen Edwards leads Purdue in scoring with an average of 18.5 points per game. Three other Boilermakers average double figures in scoring. The leading rebounder is Vincent Edwards with an average of 7.3 per game, while Dakota Mathias leads the team in assists with an average of 4.1 per game. Purdue is shooting 49.7% from the field and 42% from 3-point territory. During the regular season, the Boilermakers scored an average of 81.1 points per game, while allowing an average of 65.6.

Purdue is much deeper in talent than CS Fullerton. The Boilermakers are 5-1 SU over their last 6 games played all in a very competitive Big Ten conference. Too much size from Purdue as Coach Matt Painter's best team ever flexes its muscles. Final Score Prediction, Purdue Boilermakers win and cover ATS 85-60.
