The No. 21 ranked Creighton Bluejays visit Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island on Wednesday for a Big East tilt with the Providence Friars. Creighton improved to 17-5 overall and 6-3 in the Big East following its 76-61 victory over the Villanova Wildcats on Saturday. Denzel Mahoney was the leading scorer for Creighton with 21 points while Mitch Ballock scored 15 points with nine coming in the decisive second half.

Ty-Shon Alexander is the leading scorer and rebounder for Creighton with averages of 16.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, while Marcus Zegarowski is the second-leading scorer and leader in assists with averages of 16.1 points and 5.6 per game. Four players for the Bluejays are averaging double figures and scoring.

Providence improved 12-10 overall and 5-4 in the Big East following its 65-51 victory over the Butler Bulldogs on Saturday. Luwane Pipkins was the leading scorer for Providence with 22 points and the guard hit six straight free throws during the final minute of play to hold off the Bulldogs.

Alpha Diallo is the leading scorer and rebounder for Providence with averages of 12.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, while David Duke is the second leading scorer and leader in assists with averages of 12.6 points and 3.5 assists per game. Diallo and Duke are the only two players for Providence averaging double figures in scoring.

Creighton has won each of his last four and five of its last six including victories against Villanova, Xavier, DePaul, Georgetown and Providence. The Bluejays defeated Providence 78-74 but failed to cover as 6.5-point chalk.
