The Colgate Raiders  slipped into the national tournament as a 14 seed finishing the year on a 15 game win streak after a 16 point win in the conference championship game. Offensively Colgate dominated in the conference championship making 56.1% of their shots and 47.1% from beyond the arc leaving to the easy double digit victory. 

Jack Ferguson led all scorers for Colgate with 17 points on 4/6 shooting in 32 minutes. Nelly Cummings chipped in 15 points and Jeff Woodward posted a team high 12 points and eight rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench.

The Wisconsin Badgers come into the big dance as a three seed despite losing the final two games of the year. Wisconsin lost 69-63 to Michigan State in the final game of the year after shooting only 36.7% from the floor and 29.2% from beyond the arc. Brad Davison led all scorers for Wisconsin in the final game of the season with 23 points on eight of 15 shooting.

Offensively this season Wisconsin has three players scoring double figures as Johnny Davis leads the team scoring 19.7 points per game on 43.4% shooting to go along with a team high 8.2 rebounds. Brad Davidson his second on the team averaging 14.5 points and Tyler Wahl chips in a third best 11.4 points.

Despite losing the final two games of the season Wisconsin is the better team in this matchup and will control this game from the opening tip. Look for Wisconsin to overpower Colgate as the Badgers are the more talented team. Wisconsin will do enough in round one to get the win in advance in the big dance.
