The Clemson Tigers are set to visit John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia for an ACC clash against the Virginia Cavaliers. The Clemson Tigers come into this matchup with an 11-10 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent road game against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 56-44. Leading the way for the Clemson Tigers was junior forward Aamir Simms as he recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds. Sophomore guard John Newman III had a productive outing for the Tigers as he pitched in 7 points and 4 assists.

The Clemson Tigers struggled shooting the ball against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons as they connected on 18 of their 59 field goal attempts (30.5%), and they were slightly worse from behind the three-point line (19%). The Clemson Tigers lost the turnover battle against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (15-13), and they were edged out by the Demon Deacons in the rebounding department (42-39).

The Virginia Cavaliers come into this matchup with a 14-6 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the Florida State Seminoles, 61-56. Leading the way for the Virginia Cavaliers was senior forward Mamadi Diakite as he recorded 19 points and 9 rebounds. Sophomore guard Kihei Clark had a productive outing for the Cavaliers as he pitched in 15 points and 4 assists.

The Virginia Cavaliers had a solid shooting game against the Florida State Seminoles as they connected on 18 of their 41 field goal attempts (43.9%), and they were solid from behind the three-point line (41.7%). The Virginia Cavaliers lost the turnover battle against the Florida State Seminoles (17-7), but they dominated the Seminoles in the rebounding department (36-23).

The Virginia Cavaliers are coming off a big win over the Florida State Seminoles, but it is hard for me to believe they are 8 points better than anyone in the conference as they really struggle to score the basketball. The Clemson Tigers have had their fair share of problems this season, especially in ACC play (5-6), but they have been good on the defensive side of the court as they are holding their opponents to an average of 64.9 PPG. The Virginia defense is historic as they are holding their opponents to an average of 50.7 PPG, but their offense has also been historically bad as they are only averaging 56.2 PPG. The Tigers have one of the better forwards in the conference with Aamir Simms as he is averaging 13.5 PPG and 7.8 RPG against ACC opponents, and I think they try to ride him in what will be a close game. Final Score Prediction, Virginia Cavaliers win but fail to cover ATS 55-50
