Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, TX will host a quarterfinal matchup in the AAC tournament Friday afternoon between the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Houston Cougars. Cincinnati got to the quarterfinal of the tournament after an 11 point win over East Carolina ended a five game losing streak. Offensively Cincinnati shot the ball well making 41.7% of their shots and 38.3% from beyond the arc to score 74 points in 40 minutes.
David DeJulius carried the Cincinnati offense posting a team high 22 points on 8 of 16 shooting in 30 minutes on the floor. Jeremiah Davenport added 11 points and six rebounds as the only other starter in double figures and Mike Saunders chipped in 10 points to lead the way off the bench.

The Houston Cougars come into the quarterfinals Friday night as the top team in the conference following a 14 point loss to Memphis to end the season. Defensively Houston was obliterated as Memphis made 48.1% of their shots and 46.7% from beyond the arc to score 75 points in the game including 49 in the first half.
Offensively this season Houston has been dominant averaging 75.9 points per game on 46.7% shooting. Kyler Edwards is the leading scorer for Houston averaging 13.6 points per game on 36.9% shooting. Fabian White Jr. is second scoring 13.2 points per game and Josh Carlton chips in 11.8 points and a team high 6.6 rebounds per game.
