The Central Arkansas Bears visit Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana on Wednesday to play the No. 22 ranked Indiana Hoosiers. The Bears fell to 4-6 on the season following an 82-70 loss to the New Mexico Lobos. Khaleem Bennett led the Bears with 14 points in the loss. Central Arkansas rallied to within six points late in the second half, but two straight 3-pointers by the Lobos put the game out of reach.
Indiana improved to 9-2 on the season following a 71-68 victory over Butler. Rob Phinisee sank a deep buzzer beater from 3-point territory for Indiana and Juwan Morgan scored 35 points establishing a new career high as the Hoosiers pulled out a last second victory.
DeAndre Jones is the leading scorer and leader in assists for Central Arkansas with averages of 13.9 points and 4.7 assists per game. Two other Bears are averaging double figures in scoring. Hayden Koval leads the Bears in rebounding with an average of 6.0 per game. Central Arkansas is shooting 43.2% from the field and 35.7% from 3-point territory.
Romeo Langford leads Indiana in scoring with an average of 17.7 points per game. Juwan Morgan is the second leading scorer and leader in rebounds with averages of 17.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Rob Phinisee is the leader in assists with an average of 3.6 per game. Indiana is shooting 51.5% from the field and 36.6% from 3-point territory.
