The California Golden Bears are set to visit Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, California for a Pac-12 clash against the UCLA Bruins. The California Golden Bears come into this matchup with an 8-9 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent road game against the USC Trojans, 88-56. Leading the way for the California Golden Bears was sophomore guard Matt Bradley as he recorded 13 points and 5 rebounds. Joining Bradley in the backcourt was senior guard Kareem South who had a productive outing for the Golden Bears as he pitched in 12 points.

The California Golden Bears struggled shooting the ball against the USC Trojans as they connected on 20 of their 59 field goal attempts (33.9%), and they were slightly worse from behind the three-point line (20%). The California Golden Bears won the turnover battle against the USC Trojans (14-10), but they were dominated by the Trojans in the rebounding department (45-28).

The UCLA Bruins come into this matchup with an 8-9 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent home game against the Stanford Cardinal, 74-59. Leading the way for the UCLA Bruins was freshman guard Jaime Jaquez Jr. as he recorded 15 points and 3 rebounds. Sophomore forward Jalen Hill had a productive outing for the Bruins as he pitched in 14 points and 12 rebounds.

The UCLA Bruins struggled shooting the ball against the Stanford Cardinal as they connected on 21 of their 53 field goal attempts (39.6%), and they were slightly worse from behind the three-point line (31.3%). The UCLA Bruins lost the turnover battle against the Stanford Cardinal (15-12), but they edged out the Cardinal in the rebounding department (34-31).

Both of these teams have struggled this season as they are flirting around the .500 mark, but the UCLA Bruins are the more talented team and they also have homecourt advantage in this matchup. The Bruins have been respectable on the defensive side of the court this season as they are holding their opponents to an average of 69 PPG, and that spells trouble for the Golden Bears as they are amongst the worst in college basketball at scoring (64.6 PPG). The Bruins hold a major advantage with junior guard Chris Smith as he is averaging 15.3 PPG and 8.8 RPG through conference play, and I expect him to have success on his home court as California is 0-4 on the road. UCLA has the coaching advantage with Mick Cronin, and they are loaded with talent, take the Bruins at home. Final Score Prediction, UCLA Bruins win and cover ATS 74-63.
