The Bucknell Bison visit Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday to play the No. 15 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. The Bison improved to 4-3 on the season with a 92-79 win over LaSalle on Tuesday. Bucknell was led by Nate Sestina who scored 24 points. The win was Bucknell’s second straight following a 65-43 win over Monmouth.
Ohio State improved to 8-1 on the season with 77-67 win over Illinois last Wednesday. The Buckeyes have won two straight since their only loss to Syracuse earlier in the month. Keyshawn Woods led the Buckeyes with 18 points scoring 12 during the second half, and Kaleb Wesson scored 13. The win helped move Ohio State up from No. 19 to its current No. 15 ranking.
Nate Sestina leads Bucknell in scoring and rebounding with averages of 17.0 points and 9.0 rebounds. Jimmy Sotos leads the Bison in assists with an average of 5.1 per game. Kimbal MacKenzie is the only other Bucknell player averaging double figures in scoring at 16.1 points per game. Bucknell is shooting 45.5% from the field and 36.1% from 3-point territory.
Kaleb Wesson is leading in scoring and the leading rebounder for Ohio State with averages of 14.3 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. C.J. Jackson is the second leading scorer for the Buckeyes and leader in assists with averages of 12.7 points and 3.1 assists per game. Ohio State is shooting 48.1% from the field and 37.7% from 3-point territory.
