Bucknell at American University 1/16/22 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

The Bucknell Bison will end a short homestand Sunday afternoon with a game in Washington, DC to take on the American University Eagles. Bucknell has been terrible this season with only three wins in 14 games played riding a six game losing streak following a 33 point loss last game out. Offensively Bucknell struggled against Lehigh making only 36.7% of their shots in 29.4% from beyond the arc to score 64 points in 40 minutes of action. 

Andre Screen led the way for the Bucknell offense with 17 points and six rebounds in 25 minutes of action. Andrew Funk added 15 points on six of 15 shooting and Xander Rice chipped in 12 points in 33 minutes on the floor.

The American University Eagles continue a homestand Sunday struggling this season with a 4-10 record overall riding a three game losing streak following a 26 point blowout loss to Boston. The American offense was not existent against Boston as the Eagles made only 38.9% of their shots and turned the ball over 13 times leading to the blowout loss. 

This season American has been one of the worst offensive units in the nation averaging only 64.4 points per game on 43.8% shooting as a team. Stacy Beckton Jr. leads the American offense scoring 13.2 points per game on 43.3% shooting as the only Eagle averaging double figures. Matt Rogers is second on the team with 9.9 points per game and Johnny O'Neal adds 9.8 points in a team leading 5.3 rebounds.
