The Boise State Broncos visit Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, Wyoming on Wednesday to play the Wyoming Cowboys. Boise State fell to 5-8 on the season following its 62-50 loss to Oregon on Saturday. The Broncos led at the half 24-21 but were outscored 41-26 after the break. Pat Dembley led the Broncos in the loss with 13 points.
Wyoming fell to 3-9 on the season following its 76-65 loss to UTEP on Saturday. The Cowboys’ Justin James finished with a team-high 22 points and hauled down seven rebounds. A.J. Banks scored 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the two accounted for 40 of Wyoming’s 65 points in the loss.
Roderick Williams leads Boise State in scoring and rebounding with averages of 14.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Just one other player (Justinian Jessup 12.6 ppg.) is averaging double figures in scoring. Jessup is the leader in assists with an average of 2.7 per game. Boise State is shooting 47.0% from the field and 34.7% from 3-point territory.
Justin James leads the Cowboys in scoring, rebounding and assists with averages of 22.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. Trace Young is the second leading scorer with an average of 16.0 points per game. Wyoming is shooting 41.8% from the field and 36.1% from 3-point territory.
