The Big East is one conference in college basketball that has shown themselves to be a powerhouse in most years. Now, the question mark is who is going to come out of the Big East to be the big team that is able to play better than the pack and stand out.

Villanova is coming to the season looking to replace Saddiq Bey’s scoring on the year. However, Bey is the only big time player that is being lost as the Wildcats are bringing home all of the other starters from the team last season.

Creighton is coming to the season looking to replace Ty-Shon Alexander, but look solid outside of that. Now, the Bluejays are coming to the season with a very talented group of players who could turn the season around and potentially be the winner in the Big East.

The Huskies have a backcourt coming to the season that can rival any backcourt in the nation. The problem is the frontcourt can make it difficult for the Huskies to clear the missed shots, but also to play better to get the scoring done.

Seton Hall is bringing in a couple of players that can make a difference for the Pirates. However, it will take some time before the Pirates start to get settled in on how they are able to play and play good on the year.

Providence is one team that is coming into the season with a mismatch roster and it could be a good roster, but it could be a bad one. Now, the Friars are looking to bring together all of the talent and develop it quickly.

The Red Storm are one team that has been all over the place in playing. The Red Storm are bringing back some talent to the team and that could help them out quite a bit. However, the Saint John’s team did lose L.J. Figueroa who was one of the top scorers.

Marquette is a team that has to replace a huge powerhouse. Now, the Golden Eagles have to replace Markus Howard and the amount of talent coming back this year is going to be make it nearly impossible for the Marquette team to get a win.

Xavier is one team that will have some problems this year. The Muskies lost 4 seniors from the team last year, but still have quite a bit of younger talent coming into the year, but it will have to mature quickly to make Xavier a viable option in the Big East.

Butler is in much of the same position as Xavier. The Bulldogs are coming to the season here with a lot of talent, but not much in the way of leadership to come to the game here with a lot of players that can lead the team.

The Hoyas are heading to this season here with a lot of potential on the year. The Georgetown team has a strong inside which should hold true this year with their strong coaching for the inside. The issue is the Hoyas are not that well balanced overall as a team.

DePaul is coming to this season with a secure head coaching position. The issue for the DePaul team is they have to develop quite a bit of their talent to make the team relevant on the year.
