The Big 12 is one conference that could be very exciting on the year. The Big 12 has quite a few teams that have a lot of talent and depth. Now, what is going to really put the season in perspective will be more along the lines of which teams have the best depth that can deal with the potential coronavirus impact.

Baylor Bears ( 26-4 Last year )

Baylor is one team that has a lot of potential to be a serious threat to win it all. The Bears have their top 3 scorers coming back on the year and they add a huge dynamic. The one thing that could hurt Baylor is the fact that they are losing a player in Gillespie who pulled down9 boards a game.

Kansas Jayhawks ( 28-3 Last year )

Kansas will be looking to impress this year and with a lot of returning stars it will definitely help the Jayhawks. Now, one the downside the Jayhawks did lose Devon Dotson with18.1 points per game, but also Udok Azubuike who put in 13 points per game.

Texas Tech Red Raiders (18-13 Last year )

Texas Tech is one team that has to pretty much replace the entire starting roster. That is part of the bad news for the Red Raiders, but the good news is the upcoming younger players are looking good and ready to play for Texas Tech.

West Virginia Mountaineers ( 21-10 Last year )

West Virginia will be welcoming back Oscar Tshiebwe as he did not opt for the NBA and allows the Mountaineers to bring back a ton of talent. The problem is the Mountaineers are not that good of a team when it comes to shooting.

Texas Longhorns ( 19-12 Last year )

Texas is one team that has to improve off of their horrible play last year. That improvement should be easier with almost everyone coming back for the Longhorns from last years team.

Oklahoma Sooners (19-12 Last year )

The Sooners are one team that is bringing back a good top level offensive punch to the game. The downside is not much is seen in the way of depth after that level of play and it could cost the Sooners as the year goes on.

Oklahoma State Cowboys ( 18-14 Last year )

Oklahoma State still landed the number 1 recruit in the nation in Cade Cunningham.  The problem for the Cowboys is the fact that Cunningham will have to make up for the departure of 3 seniors from last years team.

Iowa State Cyclones ( 12-20 Last year )

Iowa State comes to this year with Rasir Bolton to lead a team that is bringing in 7 new players. Now, the other issue is outside of all the new players on the roster is the fact that the Cowboys are unable to bring back a lot of the leadership aspect.

TCU Horned Frogs ( 16-16 Last year )

The Horned Frogs will need to fill a gap that is left from Desmond Bane departing. Bane made up 25% of the Horned Frogs offense and will definitely be missed. The good news is RJ Nembhard and Kevin Samuel are coming back.

Kansas State Wildcats ( 11-21 Last year )

Kansas State will have to figure out how to keep the fans happy for a couple of years while the younger talent develops. The Wildcats do not really have the experienced backup depth to help the  older players which is why development is so important.
