The No. 1 ranked Baylor Bears visit Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa on Wednesday for a Big 12 showdown with the Iowa State Cyclones. Baylor improved to 17-1 overall following its 72-61 victory over Florida on Saturday in the Big 12/SEC Challenge. The Bears were led by Devonte Bandoo and MaCio Teague with 16 points each.

Jared Butler leads Baylor in scoring and assists with averages of 15.8 points and 3.1 assists per game, while Freddie Gillespie is the leading rebounder with an average of 9.2 per game. MaCio Teague Is the second leading scorer with an average of 13.8 points per game and just one of two players for Baylor averaging double figures in scoring.

Iowa State fell to 9-10 overall after losing 80-76 to the Auburn Tigers on Saturday as part of the Big 12/SEC challenge. The Cyclones fell behind by 11 points at halftime, but battled back and outscored Auburn in the second half 45-38 but came up four points short. Rasir Bolton was the leading scorer for Iowa State with 23 points.

Tyrese Haliburton is the leading scorer with an average of 15.7 points, leading rebounder with an average of 5.9 per game and the leader in assists with an average of 7.1 per game for Iowa State. Rasir Bolton is the second leading scorer for Iowa state with an average of 15.1 points per game.

Baylor is the team to beat in the Big 12 as the Bears are atop the Conference standings at 6-0.  Baylor has covered the number in six of its last eight overall and eight of its last 10. In Big 12 play, the Bears have covered the number in  five of their six conference games. Iowa State has not fared as well, as the Cyclones have failed to cover six of their last eight.
