On Saturday, the Baylor Bears visit McKale Center in Tucson, Arizona to play the Arizona Wildcats. The Bears fell to 5-3 on the season following a 71-63 loss to the Wichita State Shockers on Saturday. The Bears trailed the Shockers 44-15 at the half, and trailed by as many as 33 points but were able to cut the deficit to five points but no closer in their 8-point loss.
Arizona dropped to 7-3 on the season following a 76-73 loss to Alabama. The Wildcats trailed by nine points at the half, but rallied to within three points with just over one minute remaining, but Alabama hits free throws down the stretch including two with just five seconds left to seal Arizona’s fate.
King McClure leads the Bears in scoring and assists with averages of 13.6 points and 2.9 assists per game. The leading rebounder is Mark Vital with an average of 6.8 per game. Baylor is shooting 44.6% from the field and 30.1% from 3-point territory.
Brandon Randolph leads the Wildcats in scoring with an average of 17.1 points per game. Brandon Williams is the leader in assists with an average of 3.8 assists per game. Chase Jeter leads all rebounders with an average of 7.8 per game. Arizona is shooting 45.7% from the field and 33.5% from 3-point territory.
