The Austin Peay Governors visit Bud Walton Arena on Friday in Fayetteville, Arkansas to play the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Governors improved to 8-4 on the season with their sixth straight victory after defeating Liberty on Saturday 72-66. Terry Taylor led Austin Peay with 32 points that included four from beyond the 3-point arc.
Arkansas stands at 8-3 after defeating Texas State 73-70 last Saturday. The Razorbacks were led by Mason Jones with 21 points which matched a career high. Daniel Gafford chipped in with 19 points and 10 boards helping Arkansas hold off a late Texas State rally.
Terry Taylor leads the Governors in scoring and rebounding with averages of 17.8 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. Three other Austin Peay players are scoring in double figures. Steve Harris leads the Governors in assists with an average of 3.0 per game. Austin Peay is shooting 47.9% from the field and 37.8% from 3-point territory.
