The Arkansas Razorbacks visit United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas on Saturday to play the No. 14 ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders. Arkansas stopped the bleeding for one game ending a four-game losing streak with a 72-60 win over Missouri to improve to 11-7 on the season. Isaiah Joe led the Razorbacks with 23 points.
Texas Tech fell to 15-4 on the season following its third straight loss after losing to Kansas State 58-45. Texas Tech could not accomplish anything against the suffocating Wildcats defense that held the Red Raiders to 33% shooting from the field. The Red Raiders were also out rebounded 33-25 and 27-18 on the defensive board which limited Texas Tech second chances.
Daniel Gafford leads Arkansas in scoring and rebounding with averages of 16.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. Two other players are averaging double figures in scoring for Arkansas. Jalen Harris leads the team in assists with an average of 6.4 per game. Arkansas is shooting 44.7% from the field and 33.7% from 3-point territory.
Jarrett Culver leads the Red Raiders in scoring, rebounding and assists with averages of 18.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. Matt Mooney is the second leading scorer with an average of 10.2 points per game. Texas Tech is shooting 46.4% from the field and 33.1% from 3-point territory.
