The Akron Zips hit the road for a battle with the Buffalo Bulls.  The Zips are (21-7), coming off a 78-60 loss at Bowling Green.  The Bulls are (18-10), after falling on the road to the Ohio Bobcats, 80-69.

In the Zips loss to Bowling Green, Akron was guided throughout the game by Loren Cristian Jackson.  Jackson collected 35 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.  The Zips made just 30% of their shots from the floor and 14% from distance.  Akron lost the game from their inability to make enough 3-pointers.   Akron made just 5 out of 35 attempts.  The Zips were out scored from the charity stripe, 22 to 13.  Akron lost the rebounding battle, 50 to 43.

Jackson has taken charge this season for the Zips, averaging 19.7 points and 4.5 assists per game.  Tyler Cheese is contributing 15.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest.  The Zips are registering 75.6 points and are shooting just below 77% from the foul line on the season.

In the Bulls loss to Ohio, Buffalo was led offensively by Jayvon Graves.  Graves recorded 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals.  The Bulls shot 34% from the floor and 36% from deep.  Buffalo allowed Ohio to shoot 44% from the floor.  The 1st half hurt the Bulls, as Buffalo got out to a slow start.  The Bulls trailed 39-26 at the half and were unable to overcome their 1st half struggles.  Each team committed 10 turnovers on the night.

Graves has paced the Bulls this season, recording over 17 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game.  Jeenathan Williams and Davonta Jordan are both averaging 11.5 points on the year.  Buffalo is registering 15 assists per game, while registering nearly 79 points of offense per game.

Both teams have been paying well on the year and recently.  The Zips have won 4 of their last 5 games, while the Bulls have won 5 of their last 6 games.  Buffalo is averaging nearly 79 points of offense when at home, while Akron is allowing 70 points when on the road.  The Zips have one of the better road offense's in the country, as Akron is recording 74 points, which ranks in the top 40 in road production. Buffalo ranks 315th in home defense.  Both teams are coming off a double digit loss.  Buffalo has controlled this series, having won the last 6 games.  I'll side with the Bulls offense, as Buffalo is at home.  Final score prediction, Buffalo will win and cover ATS, 77-73.
