Air Force at Army 11/12/19 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

An Armed Forces matchup between two teams that haven't shown much promise so far will take place on Tuesday.

Air Force lost its first game of the season against lowly Idaho State, taking the 10-point defeat at home. The Falcons shot just 9.1 percent from 3-point range and couldn't overcome an 11-point halftime deficit. Despite the loss, sophomore guard A.J. Walker had a nice game with 17 points.

The Falcons took care of business in their second game, downing Texas State at home. Senior guard Sid Tomes was efficient from the field on his way to a team-leading 19 points. He knocked down 6 of 8 field goals and hit all four of his free throws. He also added five rebounds, four assists, a block and a steal.

Army got whipped in its first game of the year, going down 97-54 on the road against No. 10 Villanova. The matchup would have been tough for any team, but the Black Knights showed no semblance of competitiveness. They shot just 31.3 percent from the field and allowed the Wildcats to shoot 52.2 percent.

Army followed up their loss to Villanova with an easy win against U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Sophomore guard John Scully came off the bench to hit 6 of 10 3-pointers and lead the team with 20 points. Freshman forward Chris Mann was also big off the bench with 16 points, nine rebounds and a pair of assists.

The Air Force squad is looking to improve on their 3 point shooting in this game here. The Black Knights are coming in with a decent shooting attack and the chance to really show that they are a good team that has misplaced their offense against ranked teams. Final Score Prediction, Army Black Knights win and cover 68-65.
