The Utah Valley Wolverines head into round two of the WAC conference tournament following a 22 point opening round win over Chicago State. Defensively Utah Valley dominated Chicago State holding the Cougars 28.6% from the floor and 25.9% from beyond the arc, forcing 9 turnovers in 40 minutes.
The Utah Valley offense shined as well making 49% of their shots 54.5% beyond the arc while scoring 69 points in the game including 37 in the second half. Fardaws Aimaq led the way for Utah valley with 20 points on 7-11 shooting in 31 minutes on the floor. Blaze Nield added 12 points and six assists as the only other starter in double figures and Justin Harmon Chipped in 18 by 7 points off the bench.
The Abilene Christian Wildcats finished the regular season winners of two of the last three games played including two in a row following these five point win against. Tarleton in the final game of the season. Mahki Morris was the difference in the final game this season scoring a team high 18 points on 5of 10 shooting in 28 minutes on the floor for Abilene Christian.
