Troy finished the regular season 20-11 overall and 10-6 in the Sun Belt Conference. The Trojans were defeated by the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns 66-57 in the semifinals of the conference tournament. Troy has lost two of its last three.

Abilene Christian finished its regular season 23-10 overall and 11-7 in the Western Athletic Conference. The Wildcats were defeated by the New Mexico State Aggies 66-52 in the championship game of the WAC tournament. Coryon Mason was the leading scorer for Abilene Christian with 14 points. However, the Wildcats shot only 32.7% and were outrebounded by the Aggies 44-28.
Airion Simmons is leading Abilene Christian in scoring and rebounding with averages of 11.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, while Damien Daniels is the leader in assists with an average of 3.2 assists per game. Abilene Christian has three players averaging double-figures in scoring and as a team is scoring an average of 76.3 points per game.
