2024 National Championship Odds - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

The 2023 NCAA Basketball Tournament has already come and gone as the UConn Huskies hoisted the trophy following their win over the San Diego State Aztecs. Odds and favorites have already been announced as the new Champs are among the favorites to win it all again next year. The Top 5 teams heading into next year all made the dance this year and will welcome big time recruiting classes this summer in an effort to make a run at the top next March.

NCAA Tournament Title Odds:

•  Kentucky Wildcats: +1,200 
•  UConn Huskies: +1,400 
•  Marquette Golden Eagles: +1,600 
•  Kansas Jayhawks: +1,600 

Duke Blue Devils (+1000)

The Duke Blue Devils thrived in their first year without Coach K winning nearly 30 games and the ACC tournament title. Duke has a host of talented young guys on the roster with several expected to return next year to join the #2 ranked recruiting class in the nation. The Blue Devils have three 5 star players as well as two 4 star players coming to join a veteran group. If the Blue Devils can retain a few key pieces from this years team Duke could hoist the title this time next year.

Kentucky Wildcats (+1200)

The Kentucky Wildcats had a down year based on their programs expectation but still won 22 games and made it to the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament. Unlike Duke Kentucky will lose several key players including last years national player of the year Oscar Tshiebwe. The basis of the Kentucky expectation is the few players they have coming back will be joined by the #1 recruiting class in the nation. The Wildcats have four 5 stars including 3 of the top 4 players in the country as well as a top tier 4 star coming in. The Wildcats will have reloaded and will have all the tools to compete at a high level next year.

UConn Huskies (+1400)

The Reigning champions will enter next year with the 3rd best odds of winning it all. UConn will lose several pieces including their big man Sanogo to the NBA, while several others could join him as well. The Huskies will also say goodbye to several seniors but have a good core coming back to fill the void. The Huskies have four 4 stars and 1 McDonalds All American in Stephon Castle coming to campus. The Huskies will have all the tools to make a deep run again and could benefit from this title with a few late additions to the roster as well.

Marquette Golden Eagles (+1600)

The Marquette Golden Eagles come into 2024 with the 4th best odds to win it all. The Golden Eagles had a great season ending the year with a 29-7 record that included a Big East Tournament Title. The bulk of the Marquette production including leading scorer Kam Jones are expected to be back next year. The Golden Eagles will use their depth and veteran leadership to go along with three 4 star players coming in out of high school. Throw in the fact that Shaka Smart won AP coach of the year in 2023 could bring a few transfers in as well.

Kansas Jayhawks (+1600)

A Bill Self led team is always a threat to win a national title as the Jayhawks won it all in 2022. Kansas will lose quite a bit to the NBA and some of their older guys will finish school as well but the Jayhawks will return key pieces and welcome a big time recruiting class. The Jayhawks have the 5th best class in the nation for 2023 and are always in the running for top tier transfers. Expect great things from Kansas as the Jayhawks always play their best basketball in the 2nd half of the year.
