Gulfstream Park 6/9/22 - Horse Racing Picks & Predictions

The Florida Derby host spot, Gulfstream Park, is going to host 8 races on Thursday. Look for those races to be fast paced and full of action.

The first race is a 1 mile run on turf with a 29,000 dollar purse. The favorite in the race is Southern Breeze at 3/1 odds. Still look for the strong runner here to be the long shot, well, at least starting off in Prakriti. Race 1 Pick: Prakriti.

In the second race it is a 4 1/2 furlong run on dirt with a 55,000 dollar purse. The favorite in the race is Time Passage at 5/2 odds. Still look for Val’s Gal with a strong sire and good bloodlines to have a great run in this race.  Race 2 Pick: Val’s Gal.

For the third race of the day it is a 6 furlong run on dirt with a 35,000 dollar purse. The favorite in the race at 9/5 odds is Con On The Run. Look for the horse trained by Saffie A. Joseph Jr. to be the winner here.  Race 3 Pick: Caminero.

A 6 furlong dirt run is what brings in race 4 with a 29,000 dollar purse. The race here has Love My Job as the favorite. With good lines and a great jockey in Edgar Perez it will be very difficult to not back the favorite in the race. Race 4 Pick: Love My Job.

For the fifth race of the day it is a 6 1/2 furlong run on dirt with a 31,000 dollar purse. The favorite in the race at 5/2 odds is Restless Eyes. The combination of a good trainer and a strong jockey look for the favorite to win. Race 5 Pick: Restless Eyes.

In race 6 it is a bit longer at 7 1/2 furlongs with a 22,000 dollar purse. The favorite in the race is Merzaz at 2/1 odds. Most of the horses in this race are long shots with greater than 10/1 odds, so this could be a great boxed trifecta on the favorites. Race 6 Pick: Boxed Trifecta Merzaz, Wicked Finn, Chao.

A 6 furlong run is what takes place in the 7th race of the day and it has a good 60,000 dollar purse. The favorite in the race at 1/1 odds is Pudding.
