On Friday November 4, Day 1 of the 2022 Breeders' Cup will be run at Keeneland and will highlight the upcoming stars of horse racing. Friday's card is known as the Future Stars Friday, which includes five races and purse money totaling $7 million. Two of the races have a purse of $2 million each and the other three have a purse of $1 million each.
The second race of the day on Friday is the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies with a purse of $2 million and a length of 1 mile and 1 1 /16. This race is very unpredictable as it's loaded with talent. Chop Chop and Wonder Wheels are the two favorites and have had strong performances on this track. In the Darley Alcibiades at Keeneland, the winner was Wonder Wheel followed closely in second by Chop Chop.
Atomically (12-to-1) was victorious in the Frizette Stakes, which had a purse of $400,000, at Aqueduct. Finishing second on that day in that race was You’re My Girl (10-to-1), who will also be running this race on Friday. Tell Me Nolies was a winner at the $200,000 Chandelier as well as in the Debutante, which had a $300,000 purse at Del Mar.
The experience that both Wonder Wheel and Chop Chop have on this track after running in the Darley Alcibiades is a big advantage for the two, but with at least three other strong contenders, this race is hard to handicap and would not be a surprise to see any one of the five finish first at the wire.
Chop Chop, who will go off at 4-to-1 on Friday in the Juvenile Fillies Turf, and will come home first in this field of 14. Chop Chop finished second to Wonder Wheel in the Darley Alcibiades at this track, but will get her revenge on Friday when outrunning Wonder Wheel (5-to-1) down the home stretch to cross the wire first. Winner: Chop Chop 4-to-1.
