Blue Grass Stakes 4/9/22 - Horse Racing Picks & Predictions
The Blue Grass Stakes is coming to run on Saturday. However, post positions for the Blue Grass Stakes was recently released, but here are the horses based off of their odds.
Zandon is coming in at 5-2 odds and is in the 4th post. Zandon is a strong runner, but is coming off of a 3rd place finish in his last race. The two races before that was a 2nd place and a first place finish.
Smile Happy is sitting at 9-5 odds sits in the 10th post. The 3 year old Colt is coming here with a lot of positives running for him. Smile Happy finished second in his last race, which a little over a month and a half ago, but has a pair of first place finishes outside of that.
Emmanuel is sitting at 5-1 odds in the race and sits in the 6th post. After a pair of wins in the first races Emmanuel dropped off in his last race, finishing just outside of the top 3 in 4th place.
The next horse is Rattle N Roll who sits at 8-1 odds and comes in at the 9th post. Rattle N Roll has to be more of a long shot in the Blue Grass Draw after finishing only in 4th in the last race, but has been scattered dropping to 6th and winning a race as well.
CommandPerformace sits at 12-1 odd and is in the first post. In his last start CommandPerformance finished second against Fenwick in March.
Ethereal Road has 15-1 odds and is coming off of the 8th post. It is a little surprising to see Ethereal Road sitting at 15-1, since the lowest finish is a 3rd place which was back in December. This year Ethereal Road has not finished worse than second place.
Grantham has 15-1 odds as well and is in the 12th post. Grantham could have a good chance to surprise here after finishing second at the Tampa Bay Derby in February, but was 4th in another race.
Fenwick has 20-1 odds and is coming out of the second post. The last race Fenwick was his only win. The previous two races the highest finish was in 5th place.
Volcanic is sitting on 20-1 odds and comes from the 5th post. Volcanic is coming off of a 3rd place finish at the Sam F. Davis, but also has a first place finish as well. However, a 7th place finish was very disappointing in September of last year.
Blackadder has 20-1 odds as well is coming out of the 11th post. It seems odd that a horse that has only finished as low as 5th place would be at such long odds. The past 2 races for Blackadder have both been wins and it will interesting to see if the scratch from the Jeff Ruby Steaks at Turfway pays off here or not.
Golden Glider is coming in at 20-1 odds and comes from the 7th post. For Golden Glider it is fairly easy to see why he is so far back in the odds. The highest finish was a first place in January, but since then the highest finish is a 4th place.
The last horse in the field is Trademark sitting at 30-1 odds and comes out of the 3rd post. The lowest rated horse in the Blue Grass Stakes is Trademark and after finishing 5th and 12th in his last 2 races its easy to see why.
The horse that could potentially win the Blue Grass Stakes could be a long shot. The horse that was meant to go to the Jeff Ruby Steaks is one that has a lot of potential and winning ways with a bad race in the last race.
