2024 Preakness Stakes Preview
The Preakness Stakes is coming this Saturday in what should be a great day for racing. The Preakness Stakes should have a great run as the Kentucky Derby winner is running the race and ended up getting the 5th post in the draw this year.
Muth is one horse that could come in running great here. The last time that Muth was out on the track was when he won the Arkansas Derby. Now, one thing that Muth does have is he was unable to run in the Kentucky Derby as Bob Baffert is still banned, but could definitely play up in the race here and shuffle the field some. It was reported that Muth was a late scratch for the Preakness Stakes due to a fever.
Just Steel is a long shot to win the Preakness with 15/1 odds, but still have looked impressive at times. The downside is Just Steel ended up finishing in 17th in the Kentucky Derby in his last race, still still the training of D Wayne Lukas could make this horse a favorite to win as well.
Mystik Dan is the coming in at 5/2 odds to win the Preakness. That comes from the fact that the horse recent won the Kentucky Derby. Still, Mystik Dan did not have to face any of the Bob Baffert trained horses that he has to face off against in the Preakness Stakes here.

The horse that we are actually taking to win in this race here is Catching Freedom. Catching Freedom in the last race on the tracks ended up finishing up in 4th place in the Kentucky Derby. However, Brad H. Cox with the combination of Flavien Prat are always a hard competitors. That is why we are thinking Catching Freedom wins at 6-1 odds.
