2020 Breeders Cup Classic – Horse Racing Picks & Predictions

The Breeders Cup is definitely a great race for the horse racing world. Now, this is definitely not going to be any different as the horses are going to be ready to run the race. The Breeders Cup this year kicks off at 5:18 PM EST at Keeneland and it will definitely provide a great race in the middle of the afternoon if the football games are at halftime.

1 Tacitus – 20/1

Tacitus has run really well in the high pressure races this year. He finished 4th in the Kentucky Derby, but even at the Belmont Stakes he did well enough to finish  in second. To make it even better for this long shot horse is the fact that in his last 3 races he has hit the top 3.

2 Tiz The Law – 3/1

Tiz The Law is one horse that has been running really well this year and has had the pressure of a lot of the higher level races on the year. Now, in his career he has won 6 out of the 8 races he has been in. Tiz The Law did take the Belmont Stakes title this year, but fell just short against Authentic this year at the Kentucky Derby.

3 By My Standards – 10/1

One horse that is getting good odds, but is a little bit on the odd side for his odds is By My Standards. He has not won a race in Grade 1 at all. The best that he has done is a runner up finish. One thing that By My Standards does have going for him is he has only finished off of the board once in all of his 12 starts and that was in the Kentucky Derby in 2019.

4 Tom’s d’Etat – 6/1

Tom’s d’Etat is a good horse and was on a good winning streak until he did not get a good start out of the gate in his last race. That little problem cost him any chance of winning after spotting the field 5 lengths he was unable to make up the difference and lost, but did make up quite a bit of ground in the race which shows just how fast he is.

5 Title Ready – 30/1

Title Ready is one horse that is fast, but is coming to the race here outmatched. The last race out for Title Ready ended up seeing him finishing in 3rd place, but it was only a Grade 2 race. Not to mention, in most of the races he has not come out looking good.

6 Higher Power – 20/1

Higher Power is one horse that has a lot going for him, but he has not been fast in recent times. The best finish Higher Power has had is hitting a win in August of last year in an upset. Improbably was able to take care of Higher Power in the last high finish and even in that race Higher Power did not even come close.

7 Global Campaign – 20/1

Global Campaign is one horse that could really show up good if he is able to hold up to the level of racing that he has done in the past. Now, the major problem for Global Campaign outside of the fact that he has a 2 win streak it will be hard for him to continue to run good here as the level of competition is quite a bit higher.

8 Improbably – 5/2

After missing the Triple Crown last year, Improbable has moved up to these races now. Improbable has looked really good in his races so far this year and is one horse that has proven that he has the speed to run down Maximum Security who is also in the race here and a favorite as well.

9 Authentic – 6/1

The Kentucky Derby winner this year was shocked when he lost in the Preakness Stakes. Now, the next thing that Authentic would like to do is prove that he can take down an older Kentucky Derby winner. The problem is Authentic will have to figure out how to keep his speed up based off of the pace that should be set in this race.

10 Maximum Security – 7/2

Maximum Security is a horse that still seems to have a chip on his hoofs. He has ran really well and the only reason he is not a Kentucky Derby Champion in this race was a DQ. Now, he has a chance to improve even more in the race here and prove that he should have been the winner.
