The Belmont Stakes are set to run on Saturday 6/18/20, but instead of being the final race in the Triple Crown it will be the first race. That is definitely a change and of pace for the horse racing world and can really make a difference in how the jockeys handle their horses and get them on the track and running for what could be a great race.
One horse that still is listed as the favorite is Tiz the Law. He is coming in as a 3-2 favorite of winning the Belmont. However, after seeing how strong of a showing her had at the Florida Derby, a race he won, it is easy to see why he is favored. In his experience at Belmont Tiz the Law looked really strong as well as he managed to pick up a win in the 2019 Champagne Stakes as well.
Coming out of the 9th position for the Belmont Stakes is another highly favored horse in Dr. Post. He is coming in at 9-1 odds, but he has had a fairly impressive year so far. Granted, he is not coming in as the favorite, but in his two races this year Dr. Post easily won the races and actually did so impressively, which could lead to him challenging Tiz the Law, the favorite here and for the original Kentucky Derby running.
