2020 Belmont Stakes Preview - Horse Racing Picks & Predictions
The Belmont Stakes is usually the final race of the Triple Crown, but due to the coronavirus this year, it is slated to be the opening race. The race is still on the schedule currently to take place on June 20th. Now, the Belmont Stakes is coming in with a couple of highly touted horses that could be considered the favorites to win the Belmont Stakes, but the chances of the favorite winning these races have been proven time and time again in the past to be a topic that sees the favorite falling short.
Tiz The Law is one horse that is favored to get the win here by the odds makers. However, he is coming in with a major win in the Florida Derby, but outside of that none of his wins have been overly impressive compared to Charlatan.
Charlatan is a favorite to win the Belmont Stakes as well. He ended up doing well enough to win all of the races he has been in so far. With the big race that he picked up a win in being the Arkansas Derby, which was such a large field that it ended up being split into 2 different races. These races were definitely interesting, but with the split field did it detract from the level of competition.
Nadal is another highly favored horse and has looked impressive at times this year. For his part Nadal won the 2020 Arkansas Derby and did look impressive in the way he ran the race. Nadal is also coming in with a highly talented and former Kentucky Derby winning trainer in Bob Baffert. With that type of training it is definitely noted that Nadal should be considered a serious threat.

Dr. Post is one horse that is coming in at long shot type of odds for a lot of people. However, he is one horse that has proven that he is able to handle the traffic jumble messes before the horses get stretched out on the track. Now, Dr. Post does not do that on his own as he is slated to be ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. who helped guide Dr. Post around the traffic, but also has helped guide him to quite a few wins.
