2020 Arkansas Derby Division 1 - Horse Racing Picks & Predictions
This year the Arkansas Derby will be ran on May 2nd and it is split into 2 divisions. The first division is what we will talk about in this article and the second division will be covered in the next segment on the Arkansas Derby. The first division is one that has a very heavily favored racer in it with Charlatan in the mix.
Charlatan is the horse that has some of the best odds that we have seen in a very long time with a 1/1 odds. It is easy to see why with the strong training that he has received from Bob Baffert. Baffert is one of the best horse trainers in recent history and Charlatan has been one of the best runners that has been seen in quite some time.
Gouverner Morris is coming into the game here with a somewhat decent odds sitting at 9/2. Being named after a founding father it is easy to see that he could be a favored Morris has only been getting faster in his races as well with his own off track record at Tampa Bay Downs by a total of .02 seconds.
Steve Asmussen is throwing his hat into the ring as well as a trainer with Basin. Basin is only sitting on an 8/1 odds and that is the 4th best horse in the race. Basin is one horse that has shown promise in the past, but the Basin horse is one that may have some issues in keeping up with the horses that are running fast and hard in this race here.

The horse that will run away with this race is going to be Charlatan. He has been one horse that has been running great and has really shown some improvement. The one horse that could challenge him comes from Basin, but Basin is coming in without any major wins lately and that will make it hard for Basin to be seen as running this race and keeping pace.
