2021 Travelers Championship 6/24/21 - PGA Pick, Odds & Betting Predictions

The PGA Tour heads to the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut this week for the Travelers Championship. A strong field will tee off in the opening round on Thursday highlighted by defending champion Dustin Johnson, who is the top-ranked (No. 2) player this week in the field. The betting favorites this week are Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau at +1200.

Other notables taking part this week include Brooks Koepka, Patrick Cantlay, Paul Casey, Patrick Reed and Scottie Scheffler amongst others. Last year the Travelers was the first PGA Tour tournament that was not rescheduled or canceled following a three-month hiatus for the pandemic. The last three winners at The Travelers Championship have been 37 years old or older. Long and short hitters have won this event that is played on one of the tour’s shorter courses.

TPC River Highlands is a 6,841-yard par 70 and was redesigned by Pete Dye. The course is situated on a bluff that overlooks the Connecticut River. The course is known for its “Golden Triangle,” which is composed of holes 15, 16 and 17. The final four holes have been considered by many golf pundits as four of the most exciting closing holes anywhere in the golf world.

Top 20 Odds to Win the Travelers Championship

  • Bryson DeChambeau +1200

  • Patrick Reed +2200
  • Scottie Scheffler +2500
  • Abraham Ancer +2800
  • Brian Harman +2800
  • Tony Finau +2800
  • Harris English +3300
  • Kevin Streelman +3300
  • Bubba Watson  +4000
  • Joaquin Niemann +4000
  • Charley Hoffman +4000
  • Keegan Bradley +4000
  • Matthew Wolff +4000
  • Russell Henley +4000
  • Cam Smith +5000
  • Si Woo Kim +5000

Bubba Watson (+4000) is not the favorite to win this week but the left-hander returns to one of his favorite venues on tour. The TPC River Highlands has been good to Watson, who has won the Travelers Championship three times since 2010. Watson knows what needs to be done on each hole to give him the best opportunity to score a birdie or better. Watson played well on Thursday and Friday last week at the US Open but stumbled on the weekend. Nevertheless, Watson knows and loves this venue and will be an upset winner on Sunday. Final Pick, Bubba Watson +4000
