Following an exciting Players Championship this past weekend, the PGA Tour heads south to West Palm Beach, Florida for the Honda Classic. The Honda Classic will not have a star-studded lineup of participants as the event is held between the Players Championship and the WGC Match Play.
However, there will be quality players teeing off on Thursday in the opening round. Sungjae Im returns as the defending champion of the event. Other notables in this week's field at PGA National include Rickie Fowler, Daniel Burger, Phil Mickelson, Shane Lowry, Adam Scott, Lee Westwood, Henrik Stenson and Joaquin Niemann.
The Honda Classic has been played at the PGA National in West Palm Beach since 2007. Water hazards and deep rough are the two biggest challenges for players this week, as water comes into play on 16 of 18 holes. Players will have to play around more than 100 bunkers. The PGA National is a 7,125-yard par 70, with fairways, rough and greens of Bermudagrass.

Lee Westwood (+2000) has held the lead this month entering the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational and last week’s Players Championship, but the 47-year old has been caught and passed by younger talents in their 20s Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas. However, the field at the Honda Classic has fewer players high up in the world rankings and Westwood was fourth last year at the event.
