2021 Arnold Palmer Invitational 2/4/21 - PGA Picks, Odds & Betting Predictions

This week the PGA Tour heads to Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Florida for the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The field will include 123 golfers but last week's winner of the WGC-Workday Championship Collin Morikawa will not be in attendance. Defending champion Tyrrell Hatton returns to play at Bay Hill. Last year Hatton won for the first time on the PGA Tour at this event. The top player in the world golf rankings this week that is participating at the Arnold Palmer invitational is Viktor Hovland.
Notable headliners taking part this week at Bay Hill include Bryson DeChambeau, Rory McIlroy, Paul Casey, Jason Day, Tommy Fleetwood, Hideki Matsuyama, Patrick Reed, Jordan Spieth and Justin Rose amongst others. Dustin Johnson will not take part as the world's No. 1 is taking the week off.
Tee to green the Bay Hill Golf Course is very demanding. As with many courses in Florida, there are numerous water hazards, while several holes require a carry over the water or water is on one or the other side of the fairway. Rain is expected to play a part this week as the forecast is for rain early in the week to create a soft course and the prevailing North Wind is not expected to bother players.

Not often do I go with one of the favorites but this week Viktor Hovland is the choice. The Norwegian has the second best odds this week at +1200 behind only Rory McIlroy at +950. Hovland is playing better than any other golfer in the field this week. Hovland has already won the Mayakoba Classic this season and over the last three tournaments Hovland has been in contention in each of the three finishing second in two and a tie for fifth and the other.
